Still....

In between my trip to New York and DC, I had my internship at the Gamm Theatre. It's going well. I hope things get more intense there, though.

I obviously waited until the last minute to pack for Washington, cuz I'm a last-minute kind of guy. I actually waited 'til the morning of.

Anyway, I headed for DC to visit my cousin at George Washington U. I got to live the college life.

By the way, if anybody is flying to DC, I recommend Independence Air. It's this new airline that's so small and doesn't puposefully overbook their flights. Their planes are small Canadair Jets and they go very fast. I was in DC within an hour. The flight attendant is really laid back. They'll give you a complimentary drink, snack, mint, and hot towel as well.

Moving on...DC, overall, kicked ass. Tour of the campus, Georgetown for a few hours. We took a stroll down Pennsylvania Avenue that night.....that was the first day. The next day was pretty laid back. We had to make food for a thing my cousin was having that night. Monday was a very DC day. The Holocaust Museum took up most of it. Yup. I found a lot of DC while I was there.

I forgot to say how spoiled GW students are. They certainly get the award for most pampered city in the nation. They have a top-floor bowling alley, mall, food to no end, cyber cafe, and so much more. I was overwhelmed. Everything is very up to date. If a building is older than 20 years old, they just renovate it and keep its classicalness while revamping everything else. They even have their own sevice where they order whatever the hell they want in the middle of the night and it'll be delivered to them. Talk about being spoiled and pampered.

Washington D.C. is the most classy city I have ever visited. I never noticed it before. The city is just so clean. Even their Metro is state-of-the-art; there are no mice on the tracks and there are lights in the floor along the tracks that blink when a train is approaching. They use tickets, instead of tokens, that charge you based on the distance traveled. Each station is well built as well as never smelly. The people are very classy as well. They present themselves so well while passing on the street, no matter what their wearing. All the women arer so friggin attractive, too.

I did a lot of thinking while down there. It was a nice time of enlightenment and... (lo and behold)...nirvana. I was able to figure a lot of things, like things that take up my schedule, and figure what's important and how to get it done. I was able to get loads of writing done. In other words, I got answers for myself and my near future. It was perfect. I needed it.
